Pregnancy Progress

I am approaching my 23rd week of pregnancy, and what a ride it has been so far.

The beginning was quiet, tired, and time to adjust.  I visited the midwife, and saw on the ultrasound that there really was a small being within my belly.

Then I swung into full research mode where I acquired workout videos, and started building my baby registry which in all reality is my shopping list gone public.  We told family and friends, and my quiet was interrupted by happiness, well wishes, and opinions.

I finally started to get a bump around week 20 when we had our big ultrasound checking out baby's bones, and internal organs.  Everything looked good to go, and we started purchasing items to add to the generous crib, dresser, and car seat that my parents.  The nursery is in planning mode with some purchases made, and the closet is organized by size for all the cute outfits we have already been given.

At week 21 I gave into friends and family and updated our baby website with ultrasound and bump images along with the latest news.  I left out the part where I am hungry all the time, burp a lot, and even though I workout 5-6 days a week my legs are still getting fat and I have had stretch marks from almost the beginning.

Today as I write this I am quickly approaching week 23 and am so excited about my adventure into motherhood.  I have been working a lot lately, but don't worry I have PLENTY of research to share with you on this blog in the weeks to come!
